Wake Education Partnership Elects Caroline McCullen As Board Chair For 2014-2015
SAS Director of Education Initiatives picked during annual board meeting
RALEIGH, N.C.—Wake Education Partnership today announced Caroline McCullen, Director of Education Initiatives at SAS Institute, as chairwoman of the Board of Directors for the 2014 – 2015 fiscal year.
As a former National Technology Teacher of the Year, McCullen brings first-hand knowledge on the importance of business community involvement in schools. McCullen works to support activities and organizations that inspire excellence in education, particularly programs that use technology to further education.
McCullen has been part of the Partnership since 2007. Her vast experience in public education and private businesses will aid the partnership in every area. Her recent projects have focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education, a field the Partnership adamantly supports. In the past, McCullen served on the Programs Committee. McCullen picks up the torch from Gary Greene, CEO of Greene Resources, Inc., who officially finishes his term as Board Chair at the end of June.
