Susan Elnicki

Programs Manager

About

Susan Elnicki is a nonprofit program manager with more than 15 years of experience in the nonprofit and K-12 education sectors. Susan manages our reading and literacy programs Partners Read and Level Up Literacy (formerly WakeTogether) as well as supports other programs as needed.

Susan joined WakeEd Partnership from the well-respected local nonprofit Note in the Pocket where she served as the Clothing Distribution Program Manager for three years. In this role, she helped distribute more than 25,000 clothing items for children in need in Wake County. While there Susan established new relationships with clothing stores in the area to increase clothing donations and to raise awareness of Note In The Pocket’s mission in the community. Before that, Susan worked with SOAR Outreach, was a Curriculum Specialist with Savvas Learning, a K-12 curriculum provider and was a Center Director for Code Ninjas, a children’s coding franchise company.

Prior to that, Susan was a classroom teacher for 12 years in Northern Virginia (Loudon County Public Schools) where she taught Kindergarten, First, and Fifth Grade. Susan has a degree in Elementary Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She also has a certification in nonprofit management from Drexel University. Susan moved from Northern Virginia to North Carolina in 2016. She lives in Wake Forest with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
